UPSC CDS (Mathematics)

The Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.   The UPSC offers the CDS OTA exam as one of its exams. The CDS abbreviation stands for Central Defence Service, and the OTA abbreviation stands for Officers Training Academy. OTA in CDS applies to both males and females. The job that gets through OTA is known as Short Service Commission as they are allowed to be in service only for 10-14 years. If the candidate wishes to serve for more than 14 years, they must apply for a permanent commission. If the candidate is worthy of serving for a longer period, the request for PC will be granted. The CDS and CDS OTA examination patterns are also distinct. The CDS exam consists of three parts, whereas the CDS OTA exam consists of only two parts.
