Any Indian citizen holding a bachelor's degree from a recognised university can apply. The age limit ranges from 18 to 32 years, with standard relaxations applicable to SC/ST (+5 years), OBC (+3 years), and other categories as per government rules.

Tier I is a 60-minute online CBT with 100 questions across four subjects: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension — each carrying 50 marks. Every correct answer earns +2 marks; every wrong answer deducts 0.5 marks.
